The holiday season tends to be the time for those awkward dinner conversations that no one wants to have, especially when the subject of money arises.

Awkward Silence Night, created by Grey and directed by Camila Zapiola through Stink, shows a family sharing a Christmas dinner with concerned looks on their faces, as the family member at the head of the table leads an uncomfortable discussion around finances.

A humorous spin on the classic holiday song Silent Night is playing in the background, comedically framing the fraught atmosphere around the dinner table.

The campaign reflects the brand’s ambition to normalise the uncomfortable and taboo topics of personal finances and help to open up honest, and hopefully less awkward, conversations this Christmas.
