Modern Post Editors Sofia Kerpan and William Town have been nominated for the MTV VMAs 2025 Best Editing category.
Sofia Kerpan was nominated for her work on Lady Gaga’s “Abracadabra” music video. The video has a theatrical style with surreal visuals, and the editing matches Gaga’s performance by syncing cuts with the beats of the music.
William Town was nominated for his work on Tate McRae’s “Just Keep Watching” music video. His editing is fast-paced and keeps the energy high, using quick cuts that tell a clear story.
Sofia Kerpan is an artist and film editor living in Los Angeles. With a passion for collaboration and a penchant for creative exploration, she combines an element of whimsy and hyperrealism with authentic humanity. She has worked on spots for Nike, Google, Fender, and Square, and music videos for Usher, Charli XCX, Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, and Gunna. She won the 2023 MTV VMA for Best Editing for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Vampire” and was previously nominated for Lizzo’s “Good as Hell.”
William Town is the founding editor at Modern Post. He has created work for Vogue, Dior, Nike, Hugo Boss, Zara, and Tommy Hilfiger. In 2014, he launched Modern Post, growing it from a boutique shop to a full post-production studio delivering polished, daring work. His projects include Calvin Klein’s CK ONE relaunch and Vogue’s “I Love New York” film, and his music video credits span Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, and Katy Perry.
