The heritage insurance company instead leans on real life situations and the promise of feeling \u201ctotally protected\u201d under its red roof.<\/p>\n<p>In its new iteration of its ongoing campaign, it brings in\u00a0<strong>Derek Jeter<\/strong>, who has been with the company since 2014, to help solidify its position in the marketplace.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, American Family Insurance debuted \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/agencyspy\/american-family-insurance-evolves-its-platform-with-a-new-campaign\/\">Life\u2019s Better<\/a>,\u201d a new creative campaign to bring its long-running \u201cInsure Carefully. Dream Fearlessly\u201d platform to life. The creative, by Elite Media, played up the red roofline in the brand\u2019s logo and centered around the idea that when you feel totally protected, you\u2019re free to enjoy the dreams you\u2019ve worked so hard to achieve.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year, commercials have used mixed reality to tell resonant and relatable stories such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.adweek.com\/agencyspy\/american-family-insurance-evolves-its-platform-with-a-new-campaign\/\">first-time parents attempting to put their baby to sleep<\/a>, a father and his child experiencing an intimate moment and a newly married couple who dodge a scary road situation.<\/p>\n<p>And the work is effective for the company. Since the \u201cLife\u2019s Better\u201d campaign launched, research has shown that its ad recognition and brand linkage have increased significantly, as did brand awareness among Black and Hispanic audiences. The campaign was also recently named an Effie Winner in the multicultural category and finalist for the David &amp; Goliath award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re encouraged about how the campaign is being received,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Jindai Joseph<\/strong>, executive creative director at Elite Media told ADWEEK. \u201cConsumers are seeing the American Family Insurance roofline as something that can both give them peace of mind and enable them to pursue their dreams. We are excited about continuing to explore the elasticity of the campaign and to encourage more dreamers to acquire this type of protection.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Three new commercials in the \u201cLife\u2019s Better\u201d campaign hope to build on that success.<\/p>\n<p>In \u201cNeighborhood,\u201d Jeter passes a kid aiming for the big leagues, two future rocket scientists and a budding prima ballerina in a local neighborhood. The harp then brings another core brand asset, the familiar American Family Insurance jingle, to life in a new way.<\/p>\n<p>Joseph said that insurance is meant to be an unseen force that helps protect the things people work very hard to achieve.
