SeatGeek acknowledges this in a new campaign from\u00a0<a class=\" inline-paragraph-link\" href=\"https:\/\/adage.com\/article\/special-report-small-agency-conference-and-awards\/best-small-agencies-2023-slap-global\/2503136\">Slap Global<\/a>\u00a0that humorously positions the lack of problems with its own app\u2014which simply works as it\u2019s supposed to\u2014as a news story worth investigating.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">The creative centers on a smarmy journalistic interviewer, played by improv comedian Matt Cook,\u00a0who grills SeatGeek execs about the app\u2019s features. Cook hams it up throughout, even though he finds little scandal\u2014or rather, that the scandal is a ticketing app that won\u2019t give you endless headaches.<\/p>\n<p>The spots were directed by Matt Aselton at Arts &amp; Sciences and edited by Geoff Hounsell at Arcade.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Expect the Expected with Deal Score\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8nLNg6rjfyY?feature=oembed&#038;width=840&#038;height=1000&#038;discover=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Slap Global\u2019s creatives told Ad Age in an email that they started with the truth that the bar for customer experience is incredibly low in the ticketing industry. The line<br \/>\n\u201cExpect the Expected\u201d came first, and everything else flowed from there.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were in the area of treating a non-fantastic thing as big news,\u201d they said. \u201cThat led us to some of segments of \u2018The Daily Show\u2019 where they investigate news stories with a tongue-in-cheek manner. And that got us to our journalist\/interviewer character. The campaign idea also let us talk about all the other innovations the SeatGeek developers have to make buying concert and sports tickets a no-brainer.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"block block-ctools-block block-entity-fieldnodebody\" data-block-plugin-id=\"entity_field:node:body\">\n<div class=\"editor_pick aac_work_field_body field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-inline\">\n<div class=\"editor-description__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"field__item\">\n<p>SeatGeek, a three-time Fast Company \u201cMost Innovative Companies\u201d honoree, has made common-sense innovations such as guaranteeing your ticket actually gets you into the event, allowing returns if you can\u2019t make it, and offering a preview of your seat view before purchase.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPretty basic, right?\u201d said the Slap team. \u201cYet these represent true hardcore innovations in the ticketing industry. It struck us as absurd that these essentials were missing. So, we embarked on an absurd investigation about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The launch film will broke Dec. 1 during the Pac 12 Championship Game on ABC. The campaign also includes digital, social, and outdoor elements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe can\u2019t fix the trust problems in the ticketing industry, but we can help fans trust their ticketing experience with SeatGeek,\u201d said Melissa Postier, marketing director at SeatGeek. \u201cThis campaign highlights all the reasons fans can feel confident choosing SeatGeek for their live event
