{"id":26451,"date":"2023-11-16T09:16:34","date_gmt":"2023-11-16T17:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presskitchen.com\/?p=26451"},"modified":"2026-01-28T09:50:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:50:15","slug":"kevin-costner-stars-in-first-ad-in-30-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demo.techsystintel.com\/press_kitchen_dev\/kevin-costner-stars-in-first-ad-in-30-years\/","title":{"rendered":"With Music by BUTTER Music+Sound, Kevin Costner Stars in First U.S. Ad in 30 Years in Collab With Green Mountain Coffee Roasters via Ad Age"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The campaign from Havas New York has fun with the rise of collabs between brands and movies.<\/h2>\n<p>https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Hqt6_VMJ3jQ&#038;ab_channel=GreenMountainCoffeeRoasters<\/p>\n<p>Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has tapped Kevin Costner for a new collab\u2014er, partnership\u2014that includes both coffee and campaigns, with the Oscar-winning actor first starring in a new ad for Horizon Blend, part of an upcoming line of Green Mountain brews that have Costner\u2019s name attached.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inline-ad-para\">In the spot, created by Havas New York, Costner is on a film set in the American West looking over a shot when he\u2019s pulled away by a crew member to discuss brand collaborations\u2014or \u201ccollabs,\u201d as they\u2019re repeatedly referred to in the ad. \u201cWhat\u2019s a collab?\u201d Costner replies, pronouncing the seemingly foreign term\u00a0<em>\u201cCO-lab.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Soon, he\u2019s ushered to a table stocked with comical Old West-inspired products seeking his potential endorsement\u2014sneakers with spurs attached, \u201cFoam on the Range\u201d oven scrub, \u201cGold Rush\u201d golden dental grills, a cow-print kimono, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Is there any collab that might be suitable?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKevin is an icon both on and off the screen,\u201d said Becky Opdyke, senior VP of coffee marketing at Keurig Dr Pepper, which owns Green Mountain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhether he is creating and sharing stories through film and television or working on environmental conservation, he goes all in on his passions,\u201d she said of Costner, who\u2019s starring in his first U.S. ad since an\u00a0<a class=\" inline-paragraph-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=m515f5p5e1w\">Apple commercial in the 1980s.<\/a>\u00a0\u201cWe are thrilled to partner with him and to co-create a blend that celebrates a dedication to our crafts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Debuting today, the campaign will enjoy an integrated rollout across online video, out-of-home and digital and social media, with Havas Formula and Havas Media providing PR and media support\u00a0through the end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>Horizon Blend will be available on Keurig\u2019s website starting Dec. 18, before launching in U.S. retailers in January. The new coffee variety \u201cembodies the American West and its bold and boundless spirit,\u201d the brand said, describing Horizon Blend as having a \u201csmooth yet robust flavor profile, alive with earthy smoky flavors and a touch of sweetness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To coincide with the campaign, Green Mountain has also announced a $100,000 donation to\u00a0<a class=\" inline-paragraph-link\" href=\"https:\/\/rootcapital.org\/\">Root Capital<\/a>, a non-profit group that invests in small agricultural enterprises in the developing world.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a
