Award-winning entertainment company<\/span> Alkemy X<\/b> brings on industry veteran <\/span>Ben Benedetti<\/b> as VP of Business Development to expand and innovate the company\u2019s scope of VFX work. With a comprehensive background in post production spanning executive posts at some of Hollywood\u2019s top studios and post houses, Benedetti brings a proven track record for strategic problem solving and cultivating dynamic creative partnerships to this new role, working alongside Alkemy X Visual Effects Executive Producer, Mark Miller. The veteran post production executives will work closely to continue to elevate Alkemy X\u2019s visual effects slate, in addition to existing and ongoing work for top series including \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,\u201d \u201cWestworld,\u201d \u201cThe Righteous Gemstones,\u201d \u201cFear the Walking Dead\u201d and \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d among numerous others.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Notes Alkemy X President & CEO Justin Wineburgh, \u201cAdding Ben to the team is an exciting addition as Mark has done a tremendous job amplifying our VFX work since he joined a number of years ago. Ben will now help Alkemy X meet the demand that has resulted from the explosion of VFX work at the company. The combined depth of experience that we now have at Alkemy X with both Mark and Ben will allow us to continue to innovate, evolve and remain at the forefront of the industry with unlimited capacity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This fortuitous shift allows the two post production veterans, who have collaborated throughout Ben\u2019s career, to have the opportunity to work together on the same team. This tremendously talented VFX team consistently elevates the visual scope of every project and I\u2019m looking forward to being more closely aligned with the creative process, which is what I love most.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u200b\u200bBenedetti\u2019s 30-year career in post production spans an impressive cross-section of top-tier studios and post houses. After breaking in as Ted Danson\u2019s personal assistant on \u201cCheers,\u201d Benedetti went on to implement the strategic plan for the development of a new post department at Disney Channel, then segued to leadership roles at Digital Symphony at Ascent Media.\u00a0 He moved to Sony Pictures Entertainment where, as a member of the executive team, he directly administered the award-winning TV Sound Editorial department while supporting business development for Sony’s Digital Picture Editorial, Post Media Center, Colorworks, and Sony Pictures Sound Facility.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Benedetti joined Westwind Media in 2014 as Senior Vice President and General Manager, and in 2019 he became General Manager at Periscope Post & Audio, where he oversaw the design, buildout, and construction of their new post facility, as well as administering day-to-day operations and administration.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In addition to his work, Benedetti is an active member of various volunteer organizations including the Television Academy in the Executives Peer Group, the American Cinema Editors, and a past member of the Producers Guild of America, the Motion Picture Sound Editors, and the Hollywood Professional Association.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Including the foregoing high profile projects, the seasoned VFX team at Alkemy X is behind the dazzling effects for top scripted series and films including \u201cPower\u201d on Starz featuring Curtis \u201c50 Cent\u201d Jackson, AMC\u2019s \u201cThe Walking Dead,\u201d HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Wilds,\u201d \u201cManiac,\u201d \u201cBlindspot,\u201d \u201cMr. Robot,\u201d \u201cThe Leftovers\u201d and \u201cHunters,\u201d as well as M.
