NYC-based video production agency <\/span>Team Bubbly<\/span><\/a> has signed <\/span>Miles Warren<\/b> to their booming directorial roster. With his first US commercial representation, the filmmaker funnels his passion for telling authentic Black stories spanning everyday narratives from film to advertising, beyond those rooted in stereotypes. He is a 2014 Tribeca Film fellow, a 2016 Sundance Ignite fellow, and his most recent short film \u201cBruiser\u201d premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival and the 2021 SXSW Film Festival. Additionally, he collaborated with Rapper Cakes Da Killa on \u201c<\/span>Visibility Sucks<\/span><\/a>\u201d, a 12-minute short documenting the 9-5 trials of a struggling artist during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

A native New Yorker, Miles graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in film studies. His first job was with Team Bubbly where he started as an intern, which eventually led to an Associate Producer role. He was inspired by filmmaking through YouTube amidst the dawn of the Internet age, learning photo and video editing software on his own. Eventually, making short films became an obsession, and technology allowed him to learn the ropes beyond his educational pursuits. His burgeoning career has given him the opportunity to take on projects for cutting-edge fashion designer The Blonds and NYC-based mentoring organization New Heights.<\/span><\/p>\n
